Pinwheels for Peace
Holy Trinity celebrated "Pinwheels for Peace" on Wednesday. It is an event that coincides with the International Day of Peace on September 21st. Since the 21st is on a Saturday, one our of teachers organized this event so the students could participate in a meaningful way. They put together and decorated their pinwheels, then placed them in the courtyard where everyone joined hands and prayed for peace.
At first, we worried because the weather was not looking good and it started to sprinkle. Everyone decided that we would not let that spoil our event, so we went on. It only rained briefly, and then we were treated to a beautiful rainbow. Another quick rain followed, and then a double rainbow appeared! I did my best to capture it on film. Take a look...
